SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD: “Verizon Wireless MAAC TXT2WINâ Trivia Challenge” Sweepstakes (the "Sweepstakes")
begins at 12:00:01 AM Eastern Time (“ET”) on March 2, 2007 and ends at 11:59:59 PM ET on March 5, 2007 (the "Sweepstakes Period").
HOW TO ENTER:
To enter using text
messaging: If you are a Verizon Wireless service
subscriber, during the Sweepstakes Period, send a text message with the word
"MAAC" from your handset to Verizon Wireless addressed to 2244. Once
you send the text message, you will be automatically entered into the
Sweepstakes, and will be invited to play a text messaging trivia game for the
chance to make additional entries into the Sweepstakes. Each answer (correct or not) is an additional
entry into the Sweepstakes. A range of trivia categories is offered. You can select which categories to answer. If you are unable to
answer a trivia question, you can still make an entry by sending a text message
with the word “SKIP” to 2244. There are 20 trivia questions. You have the
ability to opt out at any time by sending the word “QUIT” to 2244. You will be
charged for the messages that originate from your handset according to the terms
in your Rate Plan with Verizon Wireless. Verizon Wireless charges are up to 15¢
per domestic text message sent and received. If you subscribe to a Verizon
Wireless TXT Messaging Plan, usage will be deducted from your plan’s allowance;
excess usage will be billed at 10¢ per text message sent and received. Verizon
Wireless Prepay subscribers are charged 10¢ per text message sent and
received. Total available entries by
text messaging are 21. All entries must
be received no later than 11:59:59 PM ET on March 5,
2007. All entrants must have a
text messaging two-way capable handset and digital service in order to enter
the Sweepstakes using the text messaging method. Text Messaging service is not
available in all areas.
To enter online: If
you wish to enter for free without sending a text message during the
Sweepstakes Period, log on to: www.textrules.com/MAAC to enter your name, address (no PO Boxes), age, a valid
email address, and telephone number. All online entries must be received by 11:59:59 PM ET on
March 5, 2007. Online entrants do not need to
answer the trivia questions. Online entries are limited to 21 entries per
person.
Send your entry via text message or
online as described above. Limit 21 entries per person regardless of
method of entry. All entries become the sole property of the Sponsor, and
receipt of entries will not be acknowledged or returned. Sponsor is not
responsible for lost, late, incomplete, illegible, mutilated, invalid,
unintelligible, or misdirected entries, which will be
disqualified.
ELIGIBILITY: The Sweepstakes is open all legal residents of the United States (excluding
U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and U.S. military bases outside the U.S.), 18 years of age or older as of the date of entry who are
Verizon Wireless subscribers as of March 1, 2007. Void in Puerto Rico, the U.S.
Virgin Islands, U.S. Military installations in foreign countries, anywhere
outside of the
RANDOM DRAWING: Prizewinners will be selected in a random drawing on or about
March 6, 2007 from all eligible entries received. The odds of winning will
depend on the total number of eligible entries received.
PRIZES: GRAND PRIZE: Two (2) Grand Prizes: A JetBlue Roundtrip Travel Voucher,
Approximate Retail Value (ARV): $698 each. Two (2) First Prizes: A Sirius Radio
& 3 month subscription, ARV: $150 each. Two (2) Second Prizes: MAAC
Basketball Championship Prize Packs, ARV: $50 each. Two (2) F.Y. E. Gift Cards
Value $50 each. Total ARV of all prizes is: $1,896.
If you send your
entry via text message, prize will be awarded to the name corresponding to the
Verizon Wireless Mobile Telephone Number (MTN) from which the text message
originated. If you send your entry
online, prize will be awarded to the name on the online entry form. Prizewinner
will be notified by text message or, by regular mail, email or telephone within
two (2) days after the drawing. If
winner cannot be contacted, if prize is returned as undeliverable, or in the
event the potential winner does not accept the prize or fails to comply with
these Official Rules and requirements, the prize will be forfeited and awarded
to an alternate winner. Upon prize forfeiture, no compensation will be given.
Federal, state and local taxes, including completion of Form W-9 tax, and any
and all other expenses related to the acceptance or use of prize are the
winner’s sole responsibility.
RESTRICTIONS: Prizes are not replaceable if
lost, damaged or stolen. Prizes are not refundable. Verizon Wireless is not
required to offer any substitution for or alternative to prizes awarded under
this Sweepstakes. Prizes are non-transferable. No substitutions/cash

this Sweepstakes by text message entries, all entrants authorize Verizon
Wireless to provide Vibes Media with their text messaging address. Information collected in connection with this

Sweepstakes is

CONNECTION WITH THEIR PARTICIPATION IN THE SWEEPSTAKES OR IN ANY
SWEEPSTAKES-RELATED ACTIVITY, OR THEIR ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, USE OR MISUSE OF
ANY PRIZE IN ANY WAY (INCLUDING ANY TAX LIABILITIES).
By entering the
Sweepstakes, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and agree: (1)

ADDITIONAL TERMS:
If you enter by text messaging,
you must have a valid Verizon Wireless MTN and account. In case of dispute as
to identity of entrant, entry will be declared made by the authorized account
holder of the MTN. "Authorized Account Holder" is defined as the
natural person who is assigned a MTN by Verizon Wireless or as shown on the
Verizon Wireless’ records.
If you enter online, in the
event of a dispute regarding entries received from multiple users having the
same online entry account, you will be required to provide the name of the
authorized subscriber of the online entry account at the time of entry and that
person will be deemed to be the entrant and must comply with these Official
Rules. In such case, online entry
information will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the
telephone number/email address submitted at the time of entry. "Authorized
account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to a
telephone number/email address by a telephone company, wireless service
provider, Internet access provider, Internet service provider or other
organization (e.g. business, educational, institution, etc.) that is responsible
for assigning email addresses, telephone numbers or wireless phone numbers for
the telephone exchange associated with the submitted telephone number/email
address or the domain associated with the submitted telephone, as applicable. Any other attempted form of entry not specified
herein is prohibited; no automatic, programmed; robotic or similar means of
entry are permitted.

Vibes Media, and each of their respective affiliates, partners and sweepstakes
and advertising agencies are not responsible for technical, hardware, software,
telephone or other communications malfunctions, errors or failures of any kind,
lost or unavailable network connections, unauthorized human intervention,
traffic congestion, incomplete or inaccurate capture of entry information
(regardless of cause) or failed, incomplete, garbled, jumbled or delayed
computer transmissions or other errors of any kind, whether human, mechanical
or electronic, which may occur in the processing of the entries or distribution
of the prizes in this Sweepstakes or which may limit one's ability to enter the
Sweepstakes, including any injury or damage to participant's or any other
person's handset or computer, relating to or resulting from participating in
this Sweepstakes.
Sponsor reserves the
right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend this
Sweepstakes should it determine, in its sole discretion, that any virus, bug,
non-authorized human intervention or other causes beyond its control corrupt or
affect the administration, security, fairness or proper conduct of the
Sweepstakes. In such case, Sponsor will select the winner from all eligible
entries received prior to and/or after (if appropriate) the action taken by
Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any
individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process, the website, or the
operation of the Sweepstakes.
Additionally, Sponsor reserves the right to prosecute any fraudulent
activities to the full extent of the law.
